Clover Field

The restaurant that I work at closes at 11pm, and the kitchen is pretty much closed by that time.

At 11pm the wok station was already closed and cleaned, therefore, I sent my two wok cooks home.

Five minutes later, the FOH manager came up to me

manager: Sindy, a party of seven just walked in.

me: I just sent my wok cooks home(I thought we're closed).

manager: I don't know what to do, they called earlier and said they were on their way.

me: Alright then, their food might take a while though since the kitchen is pretty much closed.

I then walked back to the line(cussing at the manager silently...) and told the rest of the kitchen staff that we still have an order.

Two minutes later, the manager came up to me again

manager: Sindy, another party of nine just came in.

me:...WHAT?!

manager: yeah, they said they're the ones that called earlier.

me:...(you have got to be f**king kidding me!!)

Just when I thought that I'm doomed since I'm not fast on the wok, the closing backwaiter told me that he called one  of the wok cooks and he's coming back.  As soon as he told me that, the wok cook showed up in the kitchen.  I was amazed that he actually came back and tremendously thankful that he did.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm nothing without my crew ^^.
